Why we put 'Udom on the mic'- Modern Money Crew
Nelson NseAbasi
Modern Money Entertainment company is made up of a group of entertainment entrepreneurs with a passion for the exploration of the entertainment sector in Akwa Ibom state, a vision they have started pursuing by putting up 'sold out free for all concerts'.

Although brothers, all four of them from the Inyang family, they were initially running things Individually, now the  Modern Money Crew brothers have teamed up to pursue a collective goal, bringing to bare their experience in the industry which dates back to Peaceville hip hop shows in Ikeja, Lagos as far back as 2009.
Their place of origin 'Ikot Ekan, Etinan' is home to the famous Peacock Paint Factory. There they spared time for a chat to speak on their current pursuit and sundry issues;

Meet them
Utibe Inyang (Manager) an Estate Manager & contractor, Akan Inyang (K-non) a garduate of Public/ International Relations, Unwana Inyang (Mizta Sorce) a Business Admin & Personal Management graduate from University of Lagos and their cousin John Udoh (Hex) an English Language graduate from Lagos State University.

Before coming to Uyo
We have been doing music for years in Lagos, we have had some videos shot by  Clarence Peters, basically we have 'tasted the waters' in the mainstream.

Coming to Uyo
He convinced us to come down here, and it has been with Meeting OBA
He was the first politician we met at Etinan rally for the Udom/Moses Divine Mandate ticket, it was awesome, and the reception was impressive.

Talk about OBA concert
We had a Door to Door publicity for the show, we went around telling people about the man, and why they should come out in numbers to celebrate him, and then subsequently vote him.
The event was a Fun fare and free for all at the Unity Park on Udo Udoma avenue. There were so any artistes and talents, the bikers, skaters...

Why OBA
Obong Bassey Albert is a gentle man. We have been following him since the days of the 'Townhall Meetings', when he was contesting for the seat of the Governor. So when he opted to contest for the senate, we still stood by him, we still see him as our Governor, if not now, may be in the future Aftermath of OBA concert
We were glad when he won. So In less than 2 weeks, we came up with 'Udom on the Mic'

Why 'Udom on the mic'?
OBA, our principal, had always asked us to support Udom Emmanuel.
Udom on the Mic Concert was the most stressful event, we had to pull the stunts in less than 6 days.

Challenges
We had financial constraints, we were Spending more and getting less. But we believe that Every dog has its day, what we are doing now is sowing, and we will surely harvest.
There rumors that you guys have received millions...

Where do you get funding?
Both shows have been funded by us, we are yet to be appreciated by the campaign committee or the party, but like I said earlier, it's our first season in Akwa Ibom, we are watering the land to plant, as we sow, we are sure to reap when harvest time comes.

Future plans
More event ideas are in the kitty, most importantly Akwabration 2015 which will be a state event.
But before then, we will like to unveil our Album/ Mixtape and have 'A nite with Black Alliance' which will also be coming through very soon.

Your Message to Akwa Ibom people
Akwa Ibom is a land of enormous potentials. Let's all come together to move the state forward, especially to the youths...We should be proud of Akwa Ibom and work to make it better, instead of criticizing.
